Welcome to the Christ Church Regatta website.
Christ Church Regatta is an annual rowing tournament in the University of Oxford. The event is run solely by members of Christ Church Boat Club, making it Oxford rowing's largest college run event by far. The event is held from Wednesday to Saturday of 7th week in Michaelmas Term (21st-24th Nov) on the Isis in Oxford.
In 2006 the regatta was organised by Simon Billett and Sarah Chapman; it was the largest regatta on record with 149 crews entered - around 1,350 competitors. Unfortunately, due to severe weather, the event was cut short with all rowing on the Isis suspended until well into the Christmas Vacation.
The 2007 Regatta captains, Jonathon Caunt, Rahul Raghuram and Robert Amey hope to build on past success and, weather permitting, give this year's novices their first taste of Oxford rowing. The 2007 Regatta is already the largest on record, with the number of crews entered far exceeding the previous record set in 2006.
